Artist Resume

  •  Have been pursuing art seriously for the past 8+ years. (2004 - present)
  • Completed 4 years in the Visual Arts program at Canterbury High School which I graduated from. (2004 - 2008)
  • Was One of Eight students from the Visual arts program  chosen to participate in the Firestone Gallery Exhibition which was comprised of student's choosing 1 of 10 pieces supplied from previous artisans work who were native to Canada's art community to paint from and take influence; this event was my first experience displaying my work in a gallery in Ottawa. (2006)
  •  I have entered work into Canterbury's annual art auction every year I had attended the school. From grades 9 to 12, I put the most work into this auction every year, and sold for the most money 3 out of the 4 years, excluding grade 9. In the art auction of my senior year I had painted live in the event hall and sold for over $ 1200. (2004 - 2008)
  • Was commissioned by a neighbor I knew who runs a telemarketing business to paint a mural in the office depicting a landscape scene which was 21 feet long by 8 feet high. I painted this mural for $650.(2005)
  •  Attended Concordia University in Montreal for a 1 year enrolled in the Studio Arts program (Bachelor of Fine Arts). My experience in my drawing and painting studio classes have helped me improve technically and forced me to do things I wouldn't have done otherwise. (2009 - 2010)
  •  Was 1 of 4 artists in the "City Life" art exhibition at the Orange Gallery in the west end of Ottawa. This was my first real showing as an artist, displaying 5 pieces along side artists who've been painting since before I was born. This exhibition was up for a month, from October 7th to October 27th. (2010)
  • I was apart of a Group show called " New Blood " in occasion of the artists who were taking part in the show were all unestablished artists including myself. This show was held at La Petite Mort Gallery in Downtown Ottawa. 
  • Since my junior year in high school I have been commissioned for several pieces, and have had other pieces purchased. I am still young and am grateful for how much my art has been appreciated in terms of commissions, purchased paintings and general observer's and art lovers. (2004 - present)
  • Had a show with another local Ottawa artist at La Petite Mort Gallery in late November of 2011 which was showcased for a week.
  • Am currently attending Sheridan College to earn a BFA in Illustration
